Very nice clean boat. Very well presented. Small problem at Market Harbrough marina over pump out and overnight stay but soon sorted out by office stall at Gayton. Great week enjoyed by all 6 of us. Thanks

We had an excellent holiday, with a lot of thanks to the staff who gave a full briefing and help at the start. Navigating the canal to Edinburgh was easy and moorings plentiful.

No cold water when showering, just boiling hot no matter how we managed it. Sheets, pillow slips were not fresh, hair everywhere when we turned down first night. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable adventure, Grant was excellent with his tuition before we left.

From start to finish my wife and I were greatly impressed by the fantastic service-focussed approach provided by the team at ABC Boat hire - who were friendly, informative and helpful at every stage. How refreshing!!

The boat was nearly new and was very good with some reservations. The little corner washbasins in both lavatories were more designer than practical, Quite why they were mounted partly under the side deck was a mystery as there was plenty of room towards the middle of the boat. Washing ones face resulted in most of the water flooding the floor as you could not get your face over the basin ! The battery capacity was limited in spite of the LED lighting. Most previous boats had 4 batteries and could easily run the central heating which was needed a couple of nights without running the engine. Cooker was excellent. It is strange how different various similar boats are in handling. Lochan Ora liked going fairly slowly. At speed it was difficult to keep a straight course, being rather edgy. Nicely fitted out apart from silly washbasins. Electric Loos the best ever and worked perfectly in spite of being made in Italy ! Union Canal was much more lined with trees than I expected. Pity there is not the usual Collins Nicholson Waterway Guide as Maps much superior with mileages clearly shown. Water tank appeared to be a bit small, but perhaps the Gauge was pessimistic.( Something we have never had before)
