The boat handled really well and everything was clean and tidy. However, during a very heavy rainstorm, the back hatch leaked badly, soaking the carpet in the rear cabin and the bags on the floor, plus dripping occurring through the air vents along the roof. This clearly had happened before, as seen by the water staining on the wood edging on the hatchway. Apart from that, it was a great boat and trip, despite not being the one we had originally booked.

They were very helpful, from the booking process right through to explaining everything we needed to know about operating the boat and locks. It was all very professional and everyone we dealt with was very friendly.

Great week - loved the Black Country ring route. And the weather was kinder to us than previously! Just a small point - the drop down bed sides were awkward to move around and indeed one of our party needed to go to A and E after gashing his leg on the side on first night. When the side of the bed was up, we found making the bed and fitting the sheets difficult as they seemed rather small. However, the mattress, once in place, was comfy.

The boat was fitted out to a high standard but the only comment to be made was that the dining table was very difficult to use due to the narrow open end to access the seating against the boat side. And when the seat on the opposite side was also put into position moving between the front and back of the boat was not practical.

I am always more than satisfied and love narrow boating with abc however the last time, I had a totally ridiculously lengthy tecnical hand over bearing in mind I had said that both my assistant skipper and myself have 30 and 20 years experience respectively and that half of the adult crew had been before. I tolerated patiently out of politeness but after one hour and twenty minutes eight boats had passed and were going to take the best moorings, I asked Phil??? to go. . I had to then wait at the first lock while 8 boats went in front and then did not get to the mooring that we had wanted. This actually spoilt the weekend as we did not get down to Bath moorings and had to walk quite a way to get to the restaurant that we had booked for the Sunday evening. We did make the best of it but I would not want others to have to suffer the same fate. My assistant skipper handed the boat over at the end of the week and mentioned it to the marina staff.

Initial handover by young girl very vague. Good handover from the male employee. Some parts of boat very dirty eg blind at window (I cleaned it). Initial response at Reception very frosty but later improved. Dining area on boat very disappointing. Otherwise we had a great holiday. However, have experienced much better with other companies and would probably not return. However, very impressed with phone call after left boat re our lost property!

Originally booked our holiday for April but due to heavy rain we were unable to navigate the canal. Staff were excellent in helping us to rearrange our booking for May.

Smooth and efficient check in and out. Prompt service when we had a problem. Boat clean and nicely furnished, everything you could need supplied.
