Battery was faulty and led to power failure at night. No lights, toilets couldn’t flush and captain of the boat kept awake as his breathing machine couldn’t work.

Customer service was excellent. Staff were quick to respond to SOS messages and were very helpful. Unfortunately, the battery was faulty and we had no power in the sockets for three nights. The captain of the boat needed a breathing machine at night and everyone else was woken up. Only when the battery was replaced on the 4th morning could we get a decent sleep at night. By that time, we had lost confidence in the boat and turned back. Missed the most scenic part of the route in Wales

this was our first time renting a narrowboat. the reservation process was easy. the introduction and explanations were clear. they took the time to ensure we were ready and happy to go out alone! the narrowboat we hired was in a great and clean condition with a good inventory (including extra blankets and rain jackets!).

had a great time. 5 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog! it was our first time so wasnt sure what to expect! we made it to Newbury and back over the 3 days with a few stops along the way...
