A wonderful holiday with our 7 and 5 year old boys who really loved helping with the lock gates and had ample room to play when not helping or out on the foredeck. We had all the features we needed to cater and entertain ourselves and were well prepared for the limited freezer space. We would have found it useful to have some maps or recommended routes prior to starting our holiday, (probably available but I didn’t see them) but the Apps suggested during our orientation and the onboard maps were a great help. The boat handled really well in general however due to being 66 feet long would greatly benefit from having a bow thruster to aid in tight manoeuvres.

ABC Boat Hire were superb for hiring a narrowboat from. I was recommended them by a good friend and I've already recommended them to others. The boat was perfect, the staff were supportive and understanding and the whole experience was, quite frankly, wonderful! My fellow shipmate was telling people today how she loved our ABC holiday better than her recent Caribbean cruise AND a day at the races!!!
