Our third trip with ABC - but the first from Alvechurch, and the first "short break" with just two of us rather than seven days with family or friends. The shorter boat was definitely simpler in locks - this is something that you can do as a couple (although having four people is ideal if three can run around and do locks during a long flight - and share the labour a bit)

Service really couldn't be better. Very helpful at commencement of hire and termination. Good recommendations for pubs and food en route. Boat was in full working order and refund of fuel on return was very simple. Not only efficient, but friendly with it.

We hired Lucy's Warbler a 69ft boat for four days on the Llangollen Canal from Whitchurch Marina. The boat was absolutely spot on. Very well appointed and kitted out with everything you need. The staff at ABC Boat Hire were genuinely superb! Very friendly, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. We had a fantastic trip and would definitely do it all again. Highly recommended.

We went boating for a family celebration. All 8 of us were novices. Communication beforehand was very good: we needed more info for the app and asked permission to decorate the boat before handover time. All essentials were provided, beds made and full instruction given.

We had planned to travel north from the base but boats had broken the required lock to go north. This was a CRT issue, not the hire company. Going south was not our desired trip.
