The staff were great explaining to us all about the boat. Steering, tieing up to a bank, which side of the canal you should be on and so much more. The facilities like the cooker, shower, toilet, bed in the dining area. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff were very helpful.

The boat was well appointed, but the outside (front and rear decks) have not been cleaned for some time and we had no mop or brush to do so. Also the side deck near the hatch was green, so had not been cleaned for months. However, the inside was ok.

Always wanted to hire a canal boat and finally searched and found one in Abergavenny. Was one of the most relaxing things I have ever done! You feel so far away from the world to relax with beautiful scenery, sounds and smells. Can’t wait to do it again!

Boat was great except for out side areas. Everything you needed was in the galley. Could do with a clock in the dining area and a mirror in the centre cabin. Surprised there was no under bed storage as on most boats.

Their important safety and operating instructions were thorough and helpful which made our day out a more enjoyable experience. The boat was well prepared, clean and very “ship shape”. And their friendly advice was very welcome. Seeing the peaceful and tranquil landscape, and wildlife (we saw herons, kingfishers and much more) from the canal boat gave a new perspective on everything. A memorable day out!

All staff were very helpfull and friendly. Technical issues dealt with when required. The handover process was good and thurough although a bit lengthy and recently discovered electrical issue was not part of the hand over.

It was a well organised and thoroughly enjoyable day out. The boat was rady for us on our arrival. The safety briefing was good. We set off with ABC staff on board until they were confident we could handle the boat and then they left us to it. We were fortunate that the weather was dry, calm and partly sunny.
