The boat was immaculate and had everything we needed. Service was brilliant too and we felt very confident before we left about driving the boat/ how to work locks/ what route we were taking etc thanks to the support of the staff at the marina. We have made memories to last a lifetime and will definitely be returning!

All the people at ABC Boat Hire we dealt with were friendly, professional, and really knew their stuff. As complete novices, we weren’t quite sure what we were letting ourselves in for, but they explained everything clearly and got us up to speed in no time. It does feel a bit daunting at first, but after about five minutes you start to get the hang of it and wonder what all the fuss was about. We did have one minor “issue”, we couldn’t find the shower pump. That one was entirely on us… a quick call to the helpline, they pointed it out, and we both just looked at each other thinking, how on earth did we miss that?

Everyone was helpful and responsive to our questions. We had a lovely two week time on the Union and Forth and Clyde canals. The only hiccup we had was with the communication for the locks on the Forth and Clyde canal, it delayed us a day because of lack of response. This was a problem for other boats too. Loved Lochan Ora, it was the perfect home away from home. Would definitely considering hiring through ABC boat hire for future trips.
