Your recent holiday on Swift - Great Dusky Swift from Springwood Haven Marina

The boats exterior was scruffy particularly the bows area which was dirty ,the anchor and chain left on seat, bow and stern lines were badly frayed and need replacing, tv and radio did not work, the dinette bed could not be used as smaller support legs were missing, boat not suitable for three average adults +small dog, we returned the boat after 5 days, very disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your experience aboard Great Dusky Swift from Springwood Haven Marina. We appreciate your feedback and would like to address a few of the points you raised. The ropes onboard have now been replaced—thank you for bringing this to our attention. All of our dinette tables are designed to convert into beds. On our Duck Class boats specifically, the bed legs are stored in the cupboard for easy access. If you had contacted the marina during your holiday they would have advised you of this. The TV and radio systems are fully operational, though please note that signal reception can vary depending on your location along the canal. Every narrowboat is thoroughly cleaned inside and out after each hire. We’re sorry to hear that the exterior did not meet your expectations on this occasion and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please remember that all our marinas offer a 24/7 call-out service for any issues during your canal boat holiday. Had we been contacted at the time, one of our engineers could have provided support over the phone or arranged a visit to assist you directly. We hope to welcome you back onboard in the future.
