We booked this to follow the recommended route from Alverchurch to Stratford and back in the week though we expected this to be challenging with many more locks than our previous holidays. The exceptionally hot week added to the challenge but we stayed ahead of schedule and got a good sense of achievement from the trip. Despite the school holiday week there did not seem to be a large number of other holiday boats on the canal.

The boat was well prepared, very clean and provided everything needed for a good canal holiday. We had a week of hot, dry weather and accomplished our aim of travelling to Stratford and back and all three generations in our party had an enjoyable, if challenging, holiday.

Another great boat supplied by Abc, we went on Incra Wren out of Whitchurch, the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, the boat was immaculately clean inside and no issues on the whole trip

Just had a great time, a new experience, new places and great weather to enjoy it. As first timers, avoided the bath locks and learnt early on to leave early to get a good mooring. On picking up the boat, we left the marina about 4:30 and had hoped to get a mooring before the Bradford lock, but didn’t find any free and suddenly the lock was ahead. A bit daunting but a friendly boater came to our rescue. Took next gap we saw and stayed 2 nights. Recommend The Lock Inn if you love Ribs, check opening times though. Spent next night just after bridge at Limpley Stoke. Recommend the Hop Pole Inn. Then 2 nights in Bath. And same 1 night stops on way back. Met some great people, was lovely just chatting and having a laugh. Highly recommend.

We have had an amazing holiday, what an experience that we will definately be doing again. The staff are great and go over everything you should know about the barge, locks, reading the canal maps etc and the barge was equipt with everything you could possibly need and to top it off the weather was amazing.

The scenery on the Mon-Brec is spectacular. The canal is quiet and really peaceful. It's just beautiful.
