Fantastic week away. Loved our boat - Canyon Wren. I've always struggled with the steering the boats, but for some reason I got it together with her and was able to have a break from always being on lock duty.

None of us had ever been on a canal barge before, it was peaceful, enjoyable mixed with moments of panic and the satisfaction when we got something right and were still afloat.

email updates and welcome was very good, however in hindsight it would have been very helpful to know how the boat reacted in reverse and mooring practice. Left and it goes right and right and it goes left and reverse is your brake was all that we got, seemed o k at the time but 10 minutes on the above 2 points would have proved very helpful and would have saved a few "bumps".

Very friendly staff when we collected the boat and also at handover. Clear instructions given on how to operate the boat, navigate locks etc The boat itself was clean & fully equipped - excellent holiday

This is the third time using ABC Boat Hire and it just keeps getting better. There really is nothing they haven`t thought about. The marina staff are friendly and helpful. The boats are spotlessly clean on collection and very well equiped. Whether you are travelling as a couple or in a group ABC will have a boat to suit you.
