We enjoyed our week but were disappointed that there are so many boats that seem to be permanently moored, many very neglected or seemingly abandoned. On occasion we found it difficult to find a suitable mooring spot in the designated areas which was a bit stressful. Lots of boats moored too near to locks, bridges and in corners..

From the moment we arrived to collect our boat we were made to feel welcome, Josh carefully explained everything about the boat and took us through the necessary procedures, making sure we understood everything and were happy. We needed to call back at the marina to have the engine checked and the holding tank pumped out and Josh was there to help us again. He is a very pleasant and helpful chap and a credit to the company.

Great route, loved the thames / canal contrast. There is a tricky lock not he way to reading which had some kids there who were quite intimidating, would put me off the route int he future.

Love the boat and the handover and technical services were really great. The welcome and the departure were not so great, we weren't even asked by reception on departure if we had had a nice time which was a bit of a surprise.

Our favourite canal, having travelled it twice before. Countryside is beautiful and the Llangollen turn around has some great things to see (climb to see Dinas Bran).

Very easy to book. Telephone operators were very helpful and made the process easy. I had to change the booking dates and they made this very easy too.

We did have a small issue with a lock being broken which affected our planned journey. We weren’t informed of this by our marina, however that hadn’t been told until I rang to let them know. Thankfully, two of our crew had waited by a winding hole as a boat going the other way had told them about the lock. They rang the two of us who had gone ahead to prep the lock, just as we discovered the broken lock, and therefore we were able to turn round. Having more notice about only being able to enter the Caen flight between 10 and 1 would have been helpful also.
