The service we received when we joined and left the boat was excellent. The process of boarding and leaving the boat was very quick and easy. The staff made us very welcome and were extremely friendly, giving us sufficient information to get us underway.

Much more provided than expected and the craft was very clean and well prepared for our holiday. The accommodation was very comfortable and mechanically everything worked without hitch. The initial briefing was very helpful as it was our first canal experience. Many thanks to all concerned.

Overall good, a few snags on boat

Only one problem. We asked if we would need a pump out midweek and we're assured not. By Tuesday night the loo was full and luckily for us Scottish Canals had a pump out a hour in front of us. Wonderful service from them.

Friendly staff with no waiting around to pick up our hire boat. Would recommend the company and would use them again. The centre was too long - we had to divide it in two to make use of it The stern line had a knot in it that could not be undone.

The staff at ABC Aldermaston were first-class - helpful, efficient and friendly. The booking system, picking up and returning the boat all worked well. The boat itself, Arctic Warbler, was a bit tired - could do with a repaint - but it was mechanically sound, handled well and was spotlessly clean inside. The three of us had an excellent week on the Thames and K&A and would certainly use ABC again.

Enjoyed the trip but no water was available between Aldermaston and Newbury. Likely we did not run out of water but it was a concern by the third day.

ABC staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The boat was clean and fully ready to take out. We have used ABC many times before and have always been impressed with them and would recommend them to others.

It was our first time, the welcome and hand over was clear and detailed, we re only left once we felt confident in handling the boat. we had a great trip and enjoyed each day even the one wet day. we will be going again

We have used ABC Boat Hire 4 times now and they have always impressed us. From the ease of booking and excellent communication from the administration team. To the standard of equipment, and cleanliness of the boats. The hand over instructions are very clear and useful. We had Chris doing our hand over and he was charming and helpful. It was a very simple procedure when handing the boat back. We had a wonderful long weekend and are very keen to do it again next year. I would recommend this firm to anyone.
