Have been hiring narrow boats for many years, - first time with abc and they stand out as clear leader in the field. Boat was Immaculate and well maintained, (ropes were even “cheesed” down). The team at Aldermaston was first class, - friendly and very well organised. Nothing was too much trouble and, no time wasting (we were able to take maximum advantage of our holiday time). Thanks to all concerned.

The boat was well fitted out and all the bedding and towels we requested were on board, more than we needed to be honest. The boat was in great working order, I had no issues with the boat at all. The kitchen was well stocked with all you needed. The only thing the kitchen could do with is a non-stick frying pan and a pasta serving spoon. Because the double bed is made up of two single beds, one with an extension, the person sleeping on the shorter section, often lies on the spring end part, which is not as comfortable, but I'm not sure what the best solution is.

I phoned the boat a few times, to ask questions about various thing and each time got all the answers and guidance that I needed. About routes and items on the boat. Was warmly welcomed when we arrived and shown the necessary safety induction.

We've been boating for over 20 years and sadly now there are more boats on the system. there are so many moored boats for miles on end which makes the journey slightly less pleasant.

We had a great holiday. The marina staff were friendly and helpful, the boat was well equipped and the canal was very beautiful.

We had a good trip from Aldermarston to Oxford and back. We have rented two other canal boats from other companies in the past and whilst we had a pleasant trip, I would not say the boat or service was as good as others. However don't be put off as this location is great for an Oxford trip, combining both the canal and the river.
