The only thing was that we had some problems withe one of the toilet, but we got excellent help from Your serviceman.

We have had canal holidays every year and we were impressed by the high standard of fitting out in Hermod. The staff at JD boats were so friendly and accommodating. We did have to call for support and nothing was too much trouble. The only regret we had was that we didn't book two weeks!

On a whole we had a lovely holiday however very disappointed on the oxford canal very untidy banking and not many places to moor up safely most marinas had litte on or no over night stays. The water points are in the most ridiculous of areas right on a corner an not very visible and straight after a bridge need to have more signs in place.

Everything was just fine boat OK, people very friendly the only thing is that data for wifi arew quite low, we run out on wednesday and it did create issue. I think that based on numberof people on the boat it could be higher

Just had a great short break with family - 2 adults and 2 teenage sons. Monday to Friday - Anderton to Lymm return. The secure overnight parking was appreciated. We received a very warm welcome from the team at ABC who gave us plenty of time to get settled and acquainted with the boat. This was followed by a comprehensive hand over and clear instructions on steering and using locks before departing. The boat was in excellent condition. Very clean, tidy and well equipped. There was a welcome cleaning pack with washing up liquid and tea towels, cleaning cloths, matches and a small sewing kit. We found soap, shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms, plus air spray and toilet cleaner. Bedding and towels were provided - good quality and very clean. The beds were comfy, which was a pleasant surprise. We used the double bed extension once but in fairness found it easier to manoeuvre without it. Our eldest son did use the single bed extender though. This is a large boat - 66ft long - so took a little getting used to and my husband did most of the steering. We chose it so we didn't have to make up beds in the lounge area and the extra bathroom was very useful. We found the length of the route to be ideal. We could have gone further than Lymm but decided we wanted to get off the boat occasionally. Last day we aimed to be back near Anderton early so we could see the boat lift - definitely worth a visit. Liked the idea of only one lock each way and everyone on the canal was friendly so if you get stuck first time there is likely to be someone around to help. On the return trip we did the lock like true professionals. Breakfast and lunch were on the boat, but most evening meals were in pubs and restaurants. The boat had everything you need to cater so for those not wanting to venture out there really was no problem. Any recommendations? -If you want more than one key for the padlock on the boat ask for one or take your own. Sometimes we wanted to stay out later than our sons. -If you want to relax have more than one person old enough / happy enough to steer. I found it more difficult than expected so my husband had to be at the helm all of the time. -It's a long boat so don't leave it too late to find a mooring for the night, especially when it is peak season. -Work as a team - we all had set jobs to do, so when we approached a blind bend, tunnel, lock or mooring we all knew exactly what was needed to make things go smoothly. -Remember to take on water when you get the chance, you use more than you think. As for the boat itself I can't think of anything. Enjoy. Highly recommended. I should add that we heard several positive comments about ABC on our travels. They are definitely respected in the area.

my second time with this marina, I thought the initial welcome from the staff was friendly and cheerful , people who were on there first cruise and nervous were put at ease with the relaxed tuition on what to do when opening locks or steering the boat. the boat was ready ahead of time and in excellent condition , perfectly cleaned , beds made, and ready for going. we had a fantastic week and when we returned the staff were there waiting to carry out all the checks so we could get away as early as possible, everyone wants to do it again so we'll probably see you next year. if we had one wish it would be for a double mattress to be provided on the other two beds when the boat is set up for three doubles, sleeping on two singles pushed together is no the most comfortable , but it didn't spoil our holiday , thank brian and the crew

The staff were extremely friendly and the boat was very clean and reliable; it provided us with all the essentials we needed for the week. Wrenbury is an idyllic picture postcard location to start your holiday.

Good in general, but one or two broken or mal-functioning items were found which should have been attended to before handover.
