We've hired quite a few times with ABC, mostly from Wrenbury. Lovely, immaculate, well appointed boat as usual. Friendly, helpful staff at the boatyard. Canal cruising is the ultimate in relaxation but with activity if you want it with the locks. We had a slightly bigger boat than we usually take as 3 young adults are now a lot bigger than when we first started hiring 10 years ago! This wasn't a problem though and we did not find any difficulty steering or managing the longer boat. We all had a wonderful time. The dog also loved it! Fresh air, exciting locks, fishing and great meals some cooked or some taken at local pubs - we couldn't have asked for more.

Awesome holiday, relaxing and such a tonic. First time narrowboating so chose an easy route. Impressed with training and boat handover. Everything needed was available on board. Clean and get comfortable. Looking forward to doing it all again.

Boat was lovely & clean and all that we expected. The Canal seemed a little uncared for in that the banks were very overgrown in places &, although we were keeping to the centre of the Canal, the boat seemed to ground out very regularly which was very frustrating.

Thank you for your feedback. The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal is uniquely shallow in design and it isn't unusual for boaters to ground their boat occasionally. Our Finch and Swallow Class boats are build with a shallower hull to accommodate this. We are pleased to hear that you were happy with your boat and we hope you will be back for another holiday with us again soon.

Having done cruisers on Canal du Midi France for 3 years, this was our first attempt at a bsrge - Bay Wren. Excellent reception, nothing too much trouble. Then the boat instructor Dave- well explained, bit of a language barrier and off. immediate baptism of sharp left, a lock, wheel, 2 locks and a 600m tunnel. After that we could relax Barge was fitted out to a very high standard - big 10 Very well run ABC / take a bow

Fantastic boat, beautiful canal and exceptional staff at the boatyard. Smooth handover both ends of the holiday which meant less stress for us and more time to enjoy. Couldnt fault our week on Lucys Warbler and will certainly bd back.
