Good boat, steering could have been more responsive but was manageable. Had one issue with the seating area which was broken and it took a couple of calls to get it repaired, as answerphone message left wasn't responded to - once we managed to talk direct to a person the repair was quickly made. Would have been helpful to have some wooden spoons among the inventory, and a scourer.

We had an excellent holiday. The staff at Ellesmere boatyard were all excellent and very helpful. We only had one issue - the cooker didn't work but we cooked using the rings and grill; so no real problems there. I'm looking forward to the next boat trip, starting tomorrow from Anderton Marina.

Nothing is ever perfect enough for five stars. Downside, the boat was draughty especially around the side and rear hatches. Big gaps let in the cold air, so the boat was very chilly at night though the heater did warm quickly in the morning. The double beds had a ridge down the middle (two singles together) this and the draught made for uncomfortable nights sleeping. Upside, spacious galley to work in, very hot water, lots of towels and bedding. On the whole a good time although this will probably be our last boating holiday as it is getting too expensive for us (and our bones need a bit more comfort).

We had no 240v on the boat from setting off and no 12v for the fridge,we purchased food to last the weeks boat hire, electric problem finally repaired on the 4th day after having to throw fridge contents away, .Apart from that ,5* for hire company from booking the holiday,very professional and more than helpfull with everything to do with the holiday.We were reimbursed for the inconvenience of no electricity and cannot fault the way it was handled.Thank you

Excellent holiday as always. Used ABC many times and would again in the future. Everything is organised and sorted prior to the holiday. Boat has always been immaculate and clean. Staff at Whitchurch Marina exceptionally nice and friendly. Lovely Lady phoned to check beds etc few days before start of holiday and said could turn up early which is great!! Think it was the lady on reception. Very pleasant. Would definitely recommend Llangollen and return. Cant wait until our next one!!

The communications between myself and the team at Falkirk was great in advance of the holiday. Even advised on the route and addressed all the queries we had. Helped us with contacts with Scottish Water who were also well organised and advised on the routes. Also did all the locks down to the Kelpies. Women loved this the team that helped were great and very friendly. Handover from Charlie was very professional and helpful recommending excellent places to stop on the way to Edinburgh. Only issue was the excellent food on the way, being locked up/down for a year our bodies were not used to such good food. The storage on the boat was unbelievable, we could have taken all our kit in one go. Going through the Falkirk Wheel was well organised and all the staff friendly, helpful and professional. Had one callout out of hours which was dealt with quickly all eventualises covered. Fantastic holiday and the weather unbelievable. I forgot my sunglasses and got sunburnt.

From start to finish everything was perfect. All staff were amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. Boats were spotless and really well equipped.

We were extremely lucky with the weather but the week on the boat would have been enjoyable anyway. The boat was reasonably comfortable for two people and a dog. It was quite old, with a slight oil leak from the engine, and our dates were towards the end of what had clearly been a long hard season for the boat. But it had been thoroughly cleaned before we started. Because of time constraints for preparing the boat for the next people, we were required to return it by 9am on our last day. This wasn't feasible and so we returned the previous day, cutting short our holiday. The method of charging for diesel was not ideal. The tank was refilled on our return and we were given credit of £25 in cash but there was no paper record.

Excellent handover from the marina. The staff were very friendly. We had to call in at Wrenbury for a pump-out. The Wrenbury staff could not have been more helpful.
