We had a great holiday aboard Wilson's Plover - we would do it all over again in a heartbeat - despite the fridge break down (this was sorted very quickly in Ellesmere by Grant), then the hot water pump was replaced in Llangollen by Richard who is a absolute credit to ABC Boat Hire. He is super polite, efficient and a wealth of knowledge. What a pleasure it was to be aboard Wilson's Plover the boat was immaculate and had everything that we needed.

The boat was great, but the Scottish Union Canal and the facilities along the towpath were not as good as we had expected.

Having paid quite an amount of money, we did not expect to be told to sanitise just about everything in the boat ourselves! However the holiday was good, the boat served its purpose adequately with comfortable beds and sufficient equipment and space for 6 people and their baggage etc.

The boat was very clean and well equipped, everything you needed down to toilet roll! Friendly, helpful and informative staff, nothing too much trouble (we were first timers). I would certainly recommend ABC Narrowboat holidays.

Be aware, if you're a novice there is a lot to learn, hard work and concentration are needed, and you ideally need at least three to deal with locks etc effectively. However, great fun, great adventure, the fellow 'boaters' were very helpful, and ABC were terrific.

A brilliant holiday again, this was the third time we have used ABC and the standard was as good as ever. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend them and we will be going back.
