The Nightingale Wren was the perfect size for 2 people. My wife and I loved sitting out in the evening on the front of the boat enjoying the UK landscape. A big change for us coming from Tennessee. Everything worked great on our trip and we didn't even have to fill up with water on our 4 night trip. We did take combat showers meaning get wet, turn off water and soap up. Then turn water back on to rinse off. The water was so hot too which was a surprise. Never had any issues with the electrical and if we did I would have referred to the manual first before contacting the marina. Overall a great experience!!!

All staff at Alvechurch very friendly, the boat (Horned Lark) was clean and tidy and, on route, we were informed of any problems associated with the route we proposed to take. My only grumble was the fact that we'd been contacted prior to our trip offering us an early departure from the marina so we arrived at 12 mid-day but were not taken to our designated boat until 2pm!

The marina staff were excellent and the boat was ready for us on arrival. The handover process however felt a bit slow, and we were left till last, meaning we spent a lot of time hanging around. The boat itself was spotlessly clean, but was tired in places (for example buttons missing or hanging off sofa cushions). On our last afternoon on board, the boat broke down with smoke coming from the engine, which left us with no choice but to turn off the engine and contact the marina for help. However, the engineer at Springwood Haven was not present, so we had to contact another ABC marina for assistance. This engineer took just over an hour to arrive and indicated that the boat did not have any engine coolant at all. The fix took approximately 3 hours, which meant we would not get back to our base marina on time. Fortunately the base marina was understanding and supportive in our subsequent late arrival the next day.

The service from abc was very good with no problems being incurred. All the papers at the wharf was completed swiftly and we were soon off on our travels As our boat was a 6 berth, the central table was a bit cumbersome for 4 of us to move around so we used the smaller bow deck table instead which made it a lot more comfortable in the cabin
