Notwithstanding our disappointment at not getting the break we booked due to circumstances out with your control, what was substituted was second to known. From the logistics sorted by Gail & Myra at the Falkirk marina to Charlie giving instructions about the boat to Tina & Arnie & others seeing to the locks. A huge well done & thank you from us for making our first (for sure not our last) boating holiday all that it was. Not sure what effect ‘normality’ would have had on things or if the weather had not been so kind but that’s for another day.

There were just a few small complaints about the boat but they did not spoil the actual canal trip. The overall layout of the boat was not the best one I have been on before with the bedrooms at either end also the bedding was old and stained and the pillows smelt of previous greasy heads. The duvet and covers plus pillow slips were old worn and shabby. The fixed table was impossible to squeeze past to sit down and had to be man handled to be seated. There was no chairs for me to sit on while accompanying my husband during him steering and had to use a picnic box to sit on as I cannot stand for long hours. The television did not have a signal the whole time we were on the trip and only returned on our last night near our destination at the finish of our holiday. The radio also had the same problem.

A great holiday marred by an electrical problem which held us up and we had a ‘minimal power’ night to preserve the battery but ABC worked hard to correct it.

Great time. Very organised when we picked the boat up. The staff were extremely helpful. It took 3 days to start enjoying it because it takes a while to get the hang steering, mooring etc. A week was perfect. Weather was hit & miss but we didn't mind as long as we weren't at work! Try it, it's an experience. There could have been nicer, newer rather, bedding and towels, and the boat wasnt the boat pictured in the brochure (it was an older boat with brown furnishings) Apart from that everything you needed to cook a meal in the kitchen area. The grill didnt work but if was not a problem. Great experience. Yes will do it again.!

Very relaxing , boat great perfect for two couples. Staff at ABC friendly and helpful at both start and finish. Might be useful to provide covid guidance for Wales in info pack and a better frying pan for english breakfasts! !

The team were easy to talk to by phone The hand over and instruction informative The boat was clean and well equipped One small negative comment is that the showers were too hot with no way of cooling them. The temperature control taps would not turn to adjust the temperature. Other than that a fantastic holiday

The boat was excllent, the staff were excellent. This latest trip was spoiled a bit by inexperience boaters losing control, frightened to pass close. Boats on our side on right hand bends, and having to hold the boat at the top of Bradford lock for 1 1/2hrs with all the newby antics. Otherwise a great boat and trip.
