Overall it was a good holiday but the boat "laughing gull" was a bit tired. It had all the facilities listed and the kitchen particularly was good, but the beds need new mattresses (spring and foam) they were soft and uncomfortable with the springs and this meant poor sleep for the week. Also the engine was a bit rough, lots of vibration on the tiller if the throttle was at anything other than tick over. Also the toilets and tank where smelly, even with allowing for some odour it was more than we've had on other boats

We loved this holiday and intend to book another next year. The staff where friendly and helpful. The boat was clean, modern and in a good state of repair. The route to Llangollen was great the only thing that could have made it better would be more locks. The only problem was the horrible smell in the stern cabin from the sewage pump out pipe. This got worse as the week went on, it was very bad in the wardrobe the pipe passed through and at night when the doors where closed. I did report this when we handed the boat back but didn't feel the man I spoke to was interested.

Our 5th year booking with ABC and the experience continues to be all we could hope for. We had a great time visiting down to Worcester, up the Severn to Stourport, through the Black Country and Birmingham and back to Alvechurch. Rested minds, wedding scenery and history at every turn. A great time for all our extended family.

Everything that could be planned went well, the boat handover was excellent at the start of the trip and faultless and very efficient at the end. All involved thoroughly enjoyed it 👍

Excellent holiday travelling along the Langollan Canal and back. Boat was a little cramped for tall people and the beds were mildly uncomfortable, but not so much that it spoiled the holiday.

The ABC team at Whitchurch were friendly helpful and excellent, narrow boat was clean, well appointed with and excellent layout for the 6 of us. The 6 days to Llangollen and back was a perfect round trip.

Overall a very pleasant experience. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 was the boat. There were 6 of us and although the boat claims to sleep 8, I would not recommend it. 6 is just about comfortable. There is also a definite lack of storage space in the main dining area which is converted into a third bedroom with two single beds. There is no where to put books, phones, watches etc... I would recommend adding some shelves to this area. Halfway through the holiday we tried to empty our toilet which needed a card of some sorts, we didn't have one and couldn't buy one. Frustrating, but we did not let it spoil our holiday.

Everything we could possibly need was provided. The boat was immaculate when we boarded. We all had a fantastic time. What more could we want.
