Absolutely amazing service, friendly, efficient and went the extra mile to help us get settled onto the boat as my daughter has a broken leg. I would highly recommend Whitchurch Marina ABC boat hire to anyone thinking about a canal boat holiday.

The handover on arrival was not as advised by email. Not shown through the boat but one person had to go and find everything which was a bit time consuming. Boat batteries did not keep charge over night and we told boatyard on return. Disappointed that the marina was such an awkward layout that we were not permitted to bring the boat into the marina on return. Otherwise would have given five stars

Thank you for your feedback. Normally an engineer would accompany the crew through the boat but due to covid restrictions they do need to remain outside, whilst the crew take instructions inside. Customers are accompanied by a member of staff when leaving the marina and bringing the boat back as it can be difficult to manoeuvre the boat within the marina. The batteries may not be fully charged overnight if the engine is not run for at least 5 hours a day. Unlike on previous near-identical boats, this one required the engine to be running to use 240 volt equipment such as the toaster. The bed mattresses required renewal as you could feel each spring through them making for an uncomfortable night.

great service, delivered as described in the pre-sales. Friendly and helpful. this is my third trip with abc and I am likely to return. Even more likely if you would introduce a trip where I could collect in one marina and deliver to another (e.g. one-way boat hire)
