We had a great trip with ABC Boat Hire. The boat was well-prepared, the lessons to the point, and the two times we called them with questions they had answers within minutes. I wouldn't change anything about their performance and will not hesitate to rent from them again!

Llangollen canal was beautiful; Chirk tunned and Pontycysyllte aqueduct were big attractions. Only 2 locks which was good for a young family. Didn't make it to Llangollen but we visited the town by car afterwards.

The pickup was easy, the boat was clean and spacious as far as narrow boats go. We had an issue with our fridge, and it didn't cool properly. this was the only issue we experienced. We called it in but didn't ask for an engineer to come out and look at it, we made do. Perhaps have a spare hose connector on the boat. I lost the one we had and then needed to borrow from other boaters to fill up the water tanks.

ABC's service and the cruising options available to us were first class. We really did not feel, however, that the storage space available on the vessel ( Green Woodpecker) was sufficient for six crew members, let alone the optimum number of eight. Steering of the vessel was also very heavy. Both of these points were mentioned to the boatyard when we handed the vessel back.

Lovely helpful staff in the marina and during the trip, we took 4 dogs with us and nothing too much trouble. Well done would use abc again.
