We hired the dove and our friends hired Oscar both boats had engineering problems - dove had a Inverter fault which appeared to be due to a faulty battery Oscar needed a full 2 litres of water in the header tank every day - both these problems would have been apparent during pre checks - the interiors of both boats were old and tired the curtains came off the runners when pulled - very poor

The boat was provided with "Winter" Grade Duvets in August !! Though requested, in place of the Duvets, we were told that blankets were not available. This meant that one of our crew had to sleep without a duvet and just in the minimum of light clothing and for another we had to make up the saloon bed and take down every day The Throttle/Gear lever was situated low and required you to bend down to operate. In doing so you lost forward vision - not a very good idea when approaching or negotiating the many bridges or when navigating in busy areas with a number of other boats around. We had a small problem with one of the toilets.Once reported the repair team were quickly on site and with a lot of due diligence and effort resolved the problem - Well done Guys !

Fabulous experience, boat & customer service... the only downsides were a bit of a lack of canal side facilities/locations to stop at.... and the constant clogging up of the propeller & the rudder due to the canal being heavily overgrown with plants

The boat and service was excellent quality. The only issue was the fixed double bed was not the wider option. This was the main reason for choosing this boat as there are very few companies offering this option. The other doubles were the wider option. Suggest this should be clarified on the website.

Iceland Gull is an older boat but well maintained and of a good standard. More cupboard space in galley would be good

Very good service in difficult (COVID) circumstances. We had a couple of problems with the boat - new cooker faulty, water pump failure and a heating system leak. These were promptly rectified as we pottered along, arranging to meet at various bridges with mechanics. Problems probably due to inactivity due to COVID.
