All the staff excellent and very helpful. This is our 5th boating holiday with various different providers and we were pleased overall. Our only complaint is our boat was quite tired and felt very well used inside compared to other boats we've hired and not particularly clean with plenty of cobwebs.

We arrived an hour or two early, but the very friendly staff arranged for our boat to be ready for us to make an early start to our holiday. The cruise to Llangollen and back was a fantastic experience. Highlights were the amazing aqueducts and tunnels. The scenery was amazing.

Sadly the first impressions at Worcester Marina we not good - the initial greeting at boatyard was by a seemingly disinterested assistant - she didn't give a good impression. However the chap that showed us the boat was excellent. Overall the boat was good and handled well and everything we needed was there. However: 1) We had a problem in that the cooker oven kept going out, particularly when it was windy. 2) Whilst the wider beds are more comfortable, they really hindered movement in the boat and our shins suffered from unintentional contact with the folded extensions . It is now impossible to walk forwards past the beds, in particular when carrying cups of coffee. 3) The bright LED lights cast dark shadows in particular over the sink making it difficult to see to wash up, and I miss the individual switches on each light allowing adjustment of levels of lighting. 4) Whilst we had a quota the wifi/internet was superb - much faster and more reliable than in previous years, however 300mb per day is not sufficient for a boat of 5 people, and there is no way we could monitor how much of it we were consuming. 1gb a day would be better with the ability to purchase more if required in advance (assuming you know how quickly you are using it). We found that the code had expired by Wednesday - was this because we'd used the whole week's quota?

it was a great holiday the boat was clean and the staff helpful if I have to say a negative the cooker was tempremental just when you thought dinner was complete you would realise that the gas had gone out and not cooked the food. apart from that all was good

Boat was lovely and in immaculate condition. Instruction / tuition was comprehensive. We had a fantastic time and will be booking again next year.

Briefing was efficient and not long-winded the guy who did it was personable, articulate, confidence enhancing, listened and answered all our questions including those of my 5yr old nephew. Would have been nice to have been warned about how shallow the canal was - we got our back end beached on the first night - took 4 attempts to free us. Albeit not ideal it was affirming, team building start to the holiday. Onboard was comfortable and information was all useful and accurate.

Thank you for the fantastic feedback about our team at Goytre Wharf! The Monmouthshire and Bracon Canal is renowned for being shallow and although we do make a note of this in our brochure it should have been mentioned during your handover. Being grounded can be alarming at first but getting free is all part of the fun! We hope to see you all again soon.

A brilliant week. The boat was in excellent condition. Ray who showed us around was very helpful. Although this was our first adventure in a narrowboat, it wasn't as daunting as first imagined. We did the route from Whitchurch to Llangollen which was stunning rural countryside and Llangollen is a superb town with excellent places to eat and things to do/see.
