A great holiday thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved the boat, it was well equipped and comfortable. The route was amazing, challenging but beautiful we loved the boat lift and the tunnel shame I broke my arm tripping on the tow path on the third day into our holiday but thankfully other canal users were friendly and helpful. We are saving for out next holiday.

Good week on boat, clean and staff good. As we were visiting from overseas comms around the route maps sent to us earlier would have helped- gave us good info on pick up but some earlier would have been better Gloves provided would be great and option to put a welcome pack of salt, pepper and sugar etc. even some sachets to save buying full size and binning

We were made very welcome and were provided with thorough boat and lock instruction as well as timely supportwhen needed over our 7 days on board. The boat is well equipped and we are happy to recommend this trip to others

Have experienced several canal holidays over 30 years and whilst always considered ABC boats a high standard was disappointed that within less than 24 hrs of leaving base an hour of topping up water was insufficient to fill the tank, no showers taken, leads me to think was not fully topped up on turnaround. Also first time I've had a briefing about needing a pump out, and the occasion arose within three days, for 3 adults and 3 children. Again have cruised with five adults and four children and not required pumping out during the week, so again was this a lack servicing during turnround

Thank you for your feedback. The Marina have confirmed that your boat was definitely pumped out after it's previous hire but they will check the toilets to ensure they are functioning properly. We do recommend that customers top up the water tank whenever possible during their hire as the supply can be used quickly when there is a large amount of crew members on board. We had a very enjoyable holiday despite a few mechanical issues with the boat. But the staff were very helpful and tried to fix the problems as they came up. The boat was very comfortable for the 4 of us. It’s a holiday we would like to do again.

The boat was nice but too long for the canal which was very bendy and and not deep enough when we went. But the weather , countryside, people and villages were lovely

Thank you for your feedback. The Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is recognised as a shallow canal and our Finch and Swallow Class boats are specially designed with an adjusted draft to accomodate this. The canal boat was very well presented and everything we could ask for was provided. The waterways were very empty which made the holiday very relaxing. Only comment on improvement would be instructions on where to find the legs for the bed in the galley. They were outside the boat which was unexpected when looking to make the bed at midnight.

Thank you for your feedback. I have checked with Alvechurch Marina and they have confirmed that the shorter leg pole for the dinette bed is stored in the cupboard in the dining area. The pole which you used is actually for the exterior table at the front of the boat. The Manager offers his apologies that this wasn't explained to you during your handover. What an amazing weekend we had - the staff at ABC are lovely and really helpful. This company was recommended to us as newbie canal boaters and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them on.
