The cupboard behind the rear toilet smelled quite badly, so we didn't use it for the holiday. Noticed later a steady leak from the rear toilet which probably explains the problem. But otherwise very happy with the boat, and the help we received when accidentally flattening the engine batteries.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Boat was clean but we felt it was a little worn- the engine seemed noisy and the exhaust was very smelly compared with other boats we have hired. Despite heavy rain we had an enjoyable holiday.

Problems with canal closure due to recent wet weather. Carolyn at head office was able to alter boat arrangements to enable our trip to go ahead. Excellent boat. Thank you

The Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies really made the trip. We were a bit disappointed with there being nothing else to do. We are used to doing our own locks, and there is a social interaction with other boaters and the public at each one that was missing. The boat was good, although we had a little problem with the leaky skylight. There was also not much storage space for food in the kitchen and there was the inevitable cups and saucers, toast rack and butter dish taking up valuable space. Design was good , but somewhere to store the table in the saloon during the day would have been better.

A little shocked to find were on rivers rather than canals. This was not too much of a change other than the lack of mooring points and restrictions on mooring on river banks. There really should have been much more of a warning about the skill required to navigate the tidal sluice. I was very annoyed I was forced to purchase a book at 12.50 GBP that only showed half of our route, no single map showing moorings water points etc, were available! This will not put me off another holiday but I now know, I need to do other research rather than just rely on your brochure. I was also surprised that a four berth boat with only two people onboard, had the pump out light on red after only five days, which included day trips away from the boat, we doubt the tank was empty on collection.

Thank you for your feedback. March Marina is situated in The Fenlands and all cruising from this location is on rivers rather than canals. There are route descriptions on our website and in the information we send to customers once they have made a booking but I have sent your comments to our Marketing team to see if we can make it clearer in next years brochure. All of our boats are pumped out between hires but I have forwarded your feedback to the Marina so that they can check that the toilet is working correctly. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
