The Llangollen Canal was very scenic but I would rather do a circular route where you don't have to go back on yourself.

We arrived early, so the handover started early as the boat was ready. Another ABC boatyard kept us waiting for nearly 2 hours past our aloted arrival time, despite being early, and the handover itself was excessively long as every point was accompanied by a patronising anecdote or story. The handover at Whitchurch was efficient with all important aspects covered and safety emphasised without being patronising. The boat was clean and functional although the wifi wasn't working, this was rectified by an Engineer who met us on our travels. All staff were polite and helpful.

We felt let down by the boat we were allocated as the other couple were allocated a far superior boat (only one year old and put ours to shame) Our two bookings were identical including cost and we felt disappointed, this gave us a very different boating experience to our travel companions.
