Our trip was Wrenbury to Ellesmere Port between 6 & 13th April 2018. The boat layout suited us fine only problem was not quite enough storage for us. Boat was equipped very well and everything easily accessible. Regarding the Journey the only problem we came across was the lack of places to offload rubbish. One of the water taps near Chester did not have the correct fitting to go with the boat so was unable to fill up. Wrenbury staff very helpful and cheerful.

Thank you for your feedback. We are always looking for clever ways to incorporate storage into the layout of our boats, you may find that a different class of boat suits you better. I would have rated this 5 stars across the board had it not been for a couple of niggles. 1/ There was a major stoppage on the canal. Not the marina's fault but they should have let us know before pick up. 2/ Galley and front lounge suffered from a stale milk smell for the whole week and we could not get rid of it.

Thank you for taking time to leave your feedback. Your comment about the smell in the boat has been forwarded to the Marina so that they can make sure that this issue has been addressed. We do normally advise customers about stoppages before their holiday but it may have been assumed that you were cruising to Llangollen or Chester as these are the most popular routes from Whitchurch.

It was our first time as a family on a canal holiday and from the start it was amazing. We couldn't go from where we had first chosen but abc made sure we could still have our holiday without any inconvenience to us. Our boys loved it and cried when we had to leave. While away the heating broke but hilperton marina got it fixed and the easiest convince to us without disturbing our holiday. We will be booking to go again nxt year to another part of the country.

Well equipped boat in a great location, run by lovely people. Only lost a star due to various maintenance issues with the boat which we wouldn't have expected so early in the season- very smoky central heating and a rudder which needed fixing before the end of the week. Can't fault the response from the boatyard though, Ed was great.

Well equipped boat in generally good condition. We`d normally prefer the reverse layout (galley at the back) it must be said, but we`d definitely consider hiring this boat again and from this hire base, particularly at the "last minute" price we got it for. A 75 mile (total) trip up to Market Drayton is a good easy week`s hire, with a few locks (7 e/w) for interest but not too many to be onerous. The price of the diesel (96p per litre) was reasonable, unlike some hire companies I could mention....

Had a couple of issues -diesel smell/toilets. All were responded to promptly but weren't resolved. Appreciated fuel refund. Thank you.

Great boat, fully equipped. Got to all the places we wanted to. Warm and cosy at night, will have to go again. A great adventure. Had 3 great photos to add but this site would not let me. Shame.
