First time on narrow boat holiday so a little apprehensive about driving the boat and the whole experience. Very friendly and helpful staff took us through the workings of the boat and literally showed us the ropes of manoeuvring the boat through locks etc. Boat itself was in excellent condition and very clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic week on the canal and we look forward to repeating the experience next year.

Our fourth (and definitely not the last!) trip with ABC (unless we buy a boat ourselves...). We've used three different marinas and cruised three different routes. This time was more challenging because of weather and vandalism related lock closures. A journey that should have been feasible in seven days wouldn't have been - but we were provided with excellent information on picking our boat up. The boats are well maintained and reliable and the staff are always just wonderful. We'll be back.

No fault of ABC or the marina - but we did have to change plans somewhat because of lock closures. The trip was just what we needed though - you can't be in a hurry on a narrowboat and lives are so busy sometimes that this is a wonderful antidote to the stresses of day to day.

They were so helpful from the booking to getting to the marina and even leaving the marina. Anytime I had a question I would email them and they would respond the same day. We needed a cab to get to the train station and they called us a cab. The turnover process was quick and simple, also very informative on how to operate the boat. It was a wonderful holiday and I can't wait until we can hire a boat for 7 days next time.

Service was exceptional. Everyone was cheery and very helpful. They patiently answered all our questions. This was our first narrowboat trip so we appreciated the thorough orientation and onboard reference notebook.

The Nightingale Wren was the perfect size for 2 people. My wife and I loved sitting out in the evening on the front of the boat enjoying the UK landscape. A big change for us coming from Tennessee. Everything worked great on our trip and we didn't even have to fill up with water on our 4 night trip. We did take combat showers meaning get wet, turn off water and soap up. Then turn water back on to rinse off. The water was so hot too which was a surprise. Never had any issues with the electrical and if we did I would have referred to the manual first before contacting the marina. Overall a great experience!!!

All staff at Alvechurch very friendly, the boat (Horned Lark) was clean and tidy and, on route, we were informed of any problems associated with the route we proposed to take. My only grumble was the fact that we'd been contacted prior to our trip offering us an early departure from the marina so we arrived at 12 mid-day but were not taken to our designated boat until 2pm!

This was our 6th trip with ABC. The booking process was easy, communication in advance spot on and the staff at the marina were friendly and approachable.
