The boat was picked up on time. No mechanical issues and the weather fine. The staff were extremely helpful in the admin and the training received both in the classroom and on the boat.

A lovely route with such a mixture of fields, forest and rolling hills. The aqueducts and tunnels are so very memorable and everyone is so friendly

Lovely canal. It was a bit hairy in places owing to strong currents. It was interesting going through the Oracle in Reading. Never been through traffic lights on the canal before. Quite an experience

Hire service was great. Water level on the canal was high owing to heavy rainfall in the Spring. Currents in certain sections were strong making steering a bit hairy. We ended up having a prang with a moored boat. N.B. Boat had been pranged 3 times previously. It would have been useful to get a heads up.

All ok. Boat was not luxurious and beds way too small. We booked an 8 berth for four and boat is nearly too big for some of locks on Kennet and Avon Thames was absolutely glorious and highly recommended Loo didn’t work for half the trip. Report to ABC was met with.. “ it’s not urgent.. you have a second loo”
