We hired through ABC (maintained by Fox Narrowboats in March Marina). Boat was perfect, the Fens were extraordinary Grey Herons, Great Egrets, lots of Kingfisher, Sean Signets, Goose Gozlings. Tidal gate to the Great Oaze was a doddle both ways. Fantastic week!

Communication was great from beginning to end, including when we decided to extend our holidays. The team was also very helpful to give us tips about the routes we could take and places to stop by.

Canal was not as fun as others I’ve been on. Locks are slow and evenly spaced so hard to run ahead and prepare in advance. But close enough there’s only 15 mins of cruising so not as relaxing as many canals
