Another fantastic boating holiday with ABC. The Brecon and Monmouth canal is stunning - probably the most beautifaul one of the many we have cruised . Red Rumped Swallow was a great boa.t The staff at Goytre Wharf are very friendly and the set up there is very good. Can also recommend breakfast at the cafe.

Administratively the organisation was efficient and excellent. The instructions and advice on the boat handover were comprehensive and useful and all staff were friendly and helpful.

All the staff were very friendly and the instructions we recieved on boat handling and about all the layout of the boat were first class. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and had no problems with the boat and we were impressed by how clean and tidy the boat was.

We were very pleased with our overall experience, right from the booking process to how helpful and accommodating everyone was, even storing our luggage for us. We all loved being on the boat for the 4 nights, the scenery etc was outstanding.

Very good holiday on the Shroppie and Llangollen branch. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Couple of minor niggles - one leisure battery was faulty which meant we had to charge the batteries more than usual - this was fixed when reported. A little worrying as one faulty battery wired in parallel with others means that large currents can flow to the faulty battery and potentially a fire risk from the hydrogen and oxygen produced by the electrolysis - not to mention general heating of the faulty cells. Ideally a fuse should be there for each battery when wired in parallel. Also I noted that the battery voltage dropped to below 10V overnight - this will lead to sulfation of the good cells and reduce battery life. The rope 'buffer/fender' at the stern dropped and fouled the rudder - we managed to pull it up and hold it with cable ties, which worked. It would have been nice to book a holiday going from one boatyard to another i.e. a one way trip rather than go half the distance and then back again. probably a logistical nightmare but would be a good idea if manageable. Other than the above we had a great time and the boat was comfortable.

The boat was well provisioned, and the Monmouth Brecon canal is picturesque. Would have liked a few more places to more up and explore, but overall a great experience.

Hired boat from Nantwich canal centre for a week, got a courtesy call a few days before from Matt to check all the details were correct and he answered all my questions too. Had a problem with one of the toilets mid way through the break, Mike came out to meet us quickly and the problem was resolved without us loosing much time. Also arranged to arrive the night before last day before the base closed as Matt offered to reverse the boat into the marina without having to go up to the next winding hole. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us, would highly recommend.

Although the staff at Goytre were very pleasant, it pains me to say that the service was not so good as it was 6 years ago.

The whole service from asking questions to booking and arrival was faultless . The arrivals team at the marina were excellent and always on hand to answer questions even after you are on your travels . Bravo keep it up
