We hired our boat in mid October at the end of the season. The boat was very clean and well kitted out with all you could need. Central heating was fantastic in the cooler weather and very welcome in the evenings are cruising the cut all day. I have ave no hesitation in recommending ABC boat hire and we will be using them again.

Friendly and informative greeting and information. Boat was very clean and comfortable. Very extensive supply of kitchen utensils and adequate little extras ie clothes, cleaning materials etc.

ABC service was excellent, first time for us to have a barge holiday we both really enjoyed it. However the beds on our Swift Alpine were uncomfortable for us.

4 of us hired a 6 berth narrow boat from ABC for a week. I must admit is was a bit cosy but it was a boat ! Everything was explained before we set off by a really lovely guy called Chris and he showed us where to find almost everything and how to work it or check it, including locks and knot tying. We had a very pleasant week. On our return we were asked to pay a further £40 for fuel even after a deposit of £90. The only thing I would say is that we were not shown or told how to check that the boat was full of fuel before we left and there is no fuel gauge so its a little misleading. I actually saw the exact same narrow boat in Brentford a couple of weeks prior and got chatting to the lady on board. She said the boat was good except for a couple of drawers in the kitchen that kept opening and suggested I took along some blue tack when we hired the boat. Unfortunately, these drawers still kept sliding open when we had the boat so can you please rectify this before the next people go out on it

Everything about the boat was as described. We were comfortable and relaxed knowing the boat was perfectly prepared for our party of 6 (3 couple)s). The Caen Hill flight was superb.

The 7 day trip was very good and after the initial panic we mastered the locks and mooring up. I purchased a map book from the office before we left which was really informative but quite a few of the pubs on route were either closed or had stopped doing food which proved a problem in the evenings. Maybe a little update please

From booking our trip to setting off, staff were great at answering our questions and gave us lots of useful advice about the area too, The Hilperton team were friendly and welcoming.
