After a smooth handover we were quickly on our way on our basic but well equipped and ccomfortable home on water for the next few days. Our boat was a 4 berth but I would say ideally suited to a couple. Everything you could need was provided, even a complimentary pack of playing cards to keep (these were well used, as although there is a small TV and WiFi on board, they are dependent upon signal, both of which were not very strong on the route we chose). Weather wise we couldn't have picked a better weekend with glorious sunshine and warm temperatures making cruising slowly down the river, taking in the beautiful scenery and chatting to fellow boaters hugely enjoyable. Navigating the mile long tunnel and multiple locks added to the experience which we both enjoyed immensely.

Good clean boat with towels and bedding. Efficient handover. Problem with water pump sorted quickly and effectively. We were only disappointed that friends could not join us in a second boat, as ABC telephone staff could not identify boats where toilet and shower facilities were better suited to less mobile people.

Have done many canal trips including the other end of the Kennet & Avon. This one wasn't as pretty as others also overnight moorings not easy to find most of the canal is overgrown or private. We discovered Pubs not far from the canal but not advertised especially from the canal side - Lost opportunity. Having said this it didn't spoil our enjoyment.

Great service nothing too much problem although we didn't know till meeting another hirer you have to turn the boat around on return. Before you say it -- it's in the manual however on holiday manuals are the last thing on our mind. Suggest part of the handover would work better.

A very pretty trip, with a spectacular ending in Bath. But this canal is becoming very crowded with residential boats - result being that we were mostly passing moored boats (many in dubious repair) at very slow speed; and, even on this October Trip, mooring places were very hard to find. It does seem that (perhaps after Covid?) no-one seems to 'double-moor' any more?
