Clean boat brilliant handover and friendly staff.

An overall positive experience from the booking , all the way through hand over at the end of our trip. Just one small issue about the cleanliness of the seating area that converted to a double bed. I also found a half eaten dog biscuit in the storage area when I was taking out the extra cushion.

The boat was in excellent condition, clean and stocked with essentials. The young lady in Hilperton reception dealing with the paperwork and mandatory lock video could not have been more helpful and gave good advice on the route. We got there early (not much traffic) so dealt with the booking in, handover and loading kit on board at a leisurely pace but had to wait over an hour and quarter for the tech handover - possibly a problem with a bank holiday pickup but did not help with getting to our planned night mooring. Return, we arrived just after 09:00 for a 09:30 return but it was manic, partly because so many boats were going out that Friday. Just make sure you are fully packed and ready to go as there is no time to waste on arrival. All in all a good short break and I would have no hesitation in recommending ABC and would definitely use them again. Great helpful staff.

Soime nasty weirs on the Kennet River section. Luckily we were a highly experienced crew.

Staff at boatyard very friendly and helpful. WEnt past te boatyard on next to last day with red light on one toilet so they immediately offered to pump it out.

Trip enjoyed by all. Did the Droitwich loop. Experienced a variety of things - lock's, swing bridges, tunnels, open countryside, wildlife and townscape.

The trip was very enjoyable & the weather was fabulous, we cruised from Hilperton to Bradford on Avon which was lovely & on to Bath, where we stayed a couple of nights😊

ABC became aware of a technical issue with our boat just before we were due to start our holiday. They offered to reschedule our holiday, or provide an equivalent or better boat at another marina. We went with the latter and were given a free route book and partial refund to compensate for the change of plans. At every stage they phoned and emailed promptly and always with good news on the journey towards resolving things. They took a bad situation and gave a superb demonstration of brilliant customer care. Thank you so much. We will be booking again very soon.

Beautiful countryside, a dramatic tunnel, aqueducts, superb historic pubs and the canal museum, and just enough locks to make it a proper canal holiday.
