We had to rearrange our original booking due to a mechanical issue with the day boat. ABC notified us early and gave us the option of a refund or a rebooking. We rebooked and the hire charge dropped so we got a partial refund. When our revised date came up the day boat still wasn't available so again we were given the option of a refund , a rebooking or an upgrade to a larger boat at the same price.We took the larger boat which was immaculate in its presentation.I was impressed that although they had some problems with the day boat they kept us fully appraised in plenty of time with alternatives rather than just coming back and saying they couldn't fulfil the booking.

The booking agency lady told me on Friday before my Monday booking that the boat I hired for my son’s 21st birthday needed a new engine and wasn’t fit to use. They had ordered a new one but would not be ready by then. With12 people that booked a day off work to be there, a minibus, pub lunch booked and paid, entertainment for the evening organised, taxi home sorted, I was not prepared for that kind of phone call! However, when I explained my situation she got back to the drawing board and found me another (much bigger)boat instead. It all worked out very well, they all enjoyed it also because for most of them was the first boat on the canal trip! So a big thank you for sorting that big problem out, especially being at peak season!

Boat was spacious, nice and clean. Double toilets and plenty of room to sit. A bit basic on the accessories like cutlery, cups, plates…. Overall a good one!

Vi hadde en fin fin uke på kanalene. Hyggelig og hjelpsomme folk over alt. ABC kunne gjort uteplassene/dekkene litt mere behagelig, puter/stoler. Sengene var små og harde.

Fabulous experience, from check in to check out. Had a comprehensive briefing with a very friendly and enthusiastic Alan, who went through all the ins and outs of the boat. Upon our return, the staff were just as friendly and efficient as those we dealt with at the start of the trip.

Everything was wonderful, from start to finish. The staff we liaised with were efficient and friendly, boat was clean, tidy and incredibly well equipped with all the home comforts, and all in all it as an incredibly relaxing getaway.

We had another amazing week on the Llangollen Canal. The staff at Wrenbury Mill were all excellent, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The boat was perfect, very clean, well prepared and had everything on board we needed. We have had many holidays with ABC on the Llangollen Canal and can quite honestly say all three bases are amazing and we would highly recommend them all. The canal is beautiful and just keeps on giving to guests of all ages. No two days on board are ever the same and you just never know what’s round the next corner!

Clean tidy site with good facilities and access. Polite and professional staff throughout. Prompt comms via emails. Have used ABC several times now and never been disappointed or let down. Well done folks, keep up the great work. Waterproofs provided were not waterproof. I got soaked, but still had a great time.
