The meet & greet team were very good & the Boat Guide took onboard that this was not our first boating holiday but still covered all the critical points of Usage & Safety. The Fridge part of the Fridge/freezer was not working & was u/s as we discovered on the morning after taking over the boat, so to overcome this problem we removed the Freezer door. This meant that we lost most of the Chilled food that we brought with us ie Bacon, Sausages, Butter & Milk. Although a very pleasant couple of weeks spent around the Birmingham area, during the Commonwealth Games. The let down was the amount of Floating Rubbish around the outskirt canal areas. We also felt that the New policy of "Wild Flowering" the Lock Areas was an excuse to do away with any canal side maintance or up keep.

This was our second experience with ABC Boat Hire, and we wasn’t disappointed, staff where friendly and very knowledgeable making our trip enjoyable.

The staff at Falkirk were very nice and helpful. I think the boat could have had at least a couple of folding chairs.

The Union Canal apart from the Falkirk Wheel was very poorly maintained, which meant regular stops to clear weed hatch.

We enjoyed this holiday very much. Cruising the british Canals and the River Thames was a lot of fun.

Staff at Aldermaston was very friendly. Everything worked nice. We headed from Aldermaston to Oxford and back within two weeks. This was a great trip, but you should not try to do this in one week.

This was our first narrowboat experience -- and we'd definitely do another :>) We were a group of 6 with 2 teenagers (15 & 19), my husband & me (Grandpa & Grandma), and our daughter and her boyfriend. Our Lucy's Warbler was just right, and we all enjoyed working the locks, navigating & steering. Our 4 nights were a great adventure!

All of the staff were very helpful and provided great orientation. We were newbies to narrow boating, and this outing more than met our expectations. (We'd had to hold off for 2 years due to Covid, so this trip was especially welcomed.)

We did the Birmingham mini ring, the section coming out of the city to the east needs some attention. Locks are dated and the area is very unloved. Other than that what a fab trip.

Excellent ! Very friendly and helping staff. The boat was in a great condition. Bob very patiently explained everything about the boat in the pouring rain :)
