Boat was all ready for us when we arrived at 1400. Had the initial information regarding lock operation, especially useful as two of our crew were 1st timers. Handover by David was excellent. Mattresses are extremely comfortable.

1. Central heating failed after a week. Lack of instructions regarding diesel level. 2. Persistent odour on board after pump out. 3. Bathroom sink drains away and failed to hold water.

We were disappointed not to have completed our proposed Black Country Loop because of a collapse of a flight of locks in central Birmingham.

Not the best canal for a boating holiday, someone who has never been on a canal holiday before may find it puts them off. However very pretty and everyone very friendly.

Boat was well equipped, spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should. Beds were comfortable and facilities were 1st class
