As first time boaters we were a little apprehensive. We received fantastic service from the minute we arrived at Whitchurch. We were going from there up to Llangollen Katie in reception was incredibly thorough and helpful with the initial training, and answered our many questions. Then Richard showed us how to use the boat, and gave us a tour of it.He was a wealth of knowledge, and really helpful. We felt really informed before we set off on our holiday. On return we were helped again to Moor up. Really enjoyed the week's holiday, will certainly return, it was so relaxing Great customer service

Trip enjoyable overall, but found the Old West River in particular, uninteresting, but loved the wildlife. It was easy cruising the river great ouse.

Very nice boat (Bonnelli's Eagle) - well equipped and quite easy to moor/steer etc, after a clear & helpful intro session. Great advice in advance from the staff at the marina on a route which was going to be suitable for us and our 3 night trip. A really nice experience which we all thoroughly enjoyed - many thanks to everyone, we hope to come back.

A perfect size boat for two people, easy to manoeuvre. We had no issues with the locks and swing bridges on our own.

Booking experience and communication was good. Not much detail on routes you had to buy a guide which at the price paid we felt should have been included. The boat wasn’t very clean with cobwebs in the light fittings and grubby shelves in the kitchen cupboards. Broken glass in one cupboard. 2 wine glasses were cracked. More info on places to moor/not to moor (private) just marked on a map would have been useful. Boat handover was very good. Towpaths very overgrown in places making mooring impossible and dangerous. The plank was too short. Had a problem with water filling hose fitment at Avoncliffe. Too many dilapidated/unoccupied boats moored up with no spaces for holiday boats made it stressful finding a space. This will be very difficult in school holiday times.

We have travelled with ABC on several occasions because of their excellent boats and good general service. Our journey this time started at Springwood Haven on the Coventry Canal. We were very disappointed at the level of service at the base. We appreciate that they were experiencing problems over electricity supplies but in general it seemed rather chaotic especially on our return to the base. On numerous previous trips we have always been greeted on our return and helped with mooring. On this occasion we were totally ignored and left to get on with mooring ourselves. Nobody seemed to be in charge and it was a most disappointing end to what was a very enjoyable journey. Because of the electricity problems it was necessary to move the boat into the basin in order to get to a position where we could bring our car to the boat. I had to chase the staff in order to achieve this move. Most unsatisfactory.

We had a brilliant holiday on our canal boat hired from ABC boating. The staff were all very helpful, informative and friendly. the handover was detailed and they answered all our questions. The boat itself was ideal for the four of us and well equipped. We would certainly book with ABC boats again. They arranged perfect weather for us too!!

Booked online; no problem. Handover was ok. Telephone support was good in coping with problems with the boat, but it was unfortunate that there were so many of them!

Excellent service from ABC when booking the trip. Very good boat apart from inadequate lighting which was very poor and not up to modern standards.
