the weather was against us - but we had a wonderful, relaxing time. We arrived late and everyone was helpful and accommodated us. Recommend you try this type of holiday if you haven't before is relaxing and calming.

The welcome was fantastic, as friendly & welcoming as an be. We were though not expecting a rip off £25 fee for a pass to enable us to use the locks. What’s the alternative if we don’t pay it, stay put at Falkirk! This should obviously be included in the hire as it’s a necessity. A lot like the fuel ⛽️. However I understand the current climate so can excuse a fuel surcharge. The lock pass charge is simply unacceptable.

The service was fine, they were helpful and friendly, but the boat didn't seem to be to their usual standard, which we did tell them when handing the boat back.

Loved every minute of it, we were first time canal boaters, people at the marina were friendly and helpful, the boat was clean and well presented, everything on the boat worked properly. Will definitely do it again next year.

Gail in the office at Falkirk was excellent. She helped us to get started. The boat (Sanderling) was well maintained and clean and tidy. The boatyard crew were excellent and again very helpful.

The cruise was perfect to Edinburgh and back. We also went to Auchinstarry and back. The Scottish Canal people were very helpful

We took the grandchildren for the first time and they absolutely loved it. We went in October but the boat was warm and cosy. We were lucky with the weather but it was just wonderful to cruise the canal. We saw so much wildlife which the children lived.
