It was a very noisy boat from the engine compared to what we have had before,we found the beds uncomfortable and the wi fi gave constant problems and no service anywhere on the tv. We also kept getting a foul smell from the waste system. We travel on your boats most years but this year,the wren seemed slightly smaller everywhere. Maybe the smell was made worse by the hot weather. But no excuse for the wi fi, every time you went out of an app, you had to sign in again and complete security questions and then it told you the code had expired so it didn’t even last a day. We got totally fed up with ringing for a new code and gave up in the end. Having said that, the scenery was stunning andthe weather glorious which helped with the other frustrations.

During their holiday our customers have access to 335 MB of free data per day, which should be sufficient for internet browsing or emailing. We do also advise customers to check that their phones aren't automatically downloading updates as this may be the reason for data being used too quickly. First boating holiday, we had a lovely boat well equipped with lots of amenities, great friendly staff who were very helpful at the start and the end of the holiday. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, would definitely recommend ABC boat hire.

I have rated it 4 star as the barge was not to the usual standards. Having been on 7 holidays with the company, the barge we took out had a number of minor issues do the age of the boat.

Boat was well equipped and very clean. Everything was explained clearly in the instruction manual. Estimated cruising times for the trip were pretty accurate.

A very enjoyable holiday. The only problem was the number of permanently moored boats (looking like junkyards…. Where does all their waste go?) made finding somewhere to moor at night difficult. The canal trust volunteers were also excellent.

Brochure indicated route which in reality meant an 11 hour cruising day to reach destination, our expectation was based on brochure information. On our return we were told oh ! most people get to Trevor Basin and then take a taxi to Llangollen now that Information would have been very useful on our day of arrival as the section of canal after the Pontcysyllte aquaduct was very narrow and in places only one boat can travel so crew had to walk ahead and then telephone each other, when clear to proceed which brings me to walkie-talkies which would have been useful especially as our boat was 66feet long so difficult to hear an instruction from the stern to the bow.

Had a fabulous time on our first trip out on a narrow boat. The Wrenbury staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and we found that the boat was well equipped with everything we needed. The Llangollen canal is truly beautiful and was a great introduction to canal holidays.

Absolutely amazing holiday, relaxing from start to finish, Gail was very helpful with everything regarding booking, and the guy who did the handover and worked the lochs were terrific. Definitely be doing this again..

We found ABC helpful and charming throughout our booking experience and at Whitchurch. We felt well prepared for our holiday. The boat was excellent - well equipped and very clean.
