Had a great holiday even although the weather was rubbish. Disappointed the pubs were shut on Sunday evening and Monday which was a bit of a let down considering the COVID rules had relaxed . Not a lot of places to berth our boat , but the places we did manage were so peaceful. The canal itself is beautiful and the people we met along the way were so friendly.

Our boat was very well equipped and all the staff at the marina were very friendly and helpful. The weather for our tr up at the end of May was unseasonably cold and at times wet but the heating system on the boat was very efficient.

Met by a very cheerful team who got us on the water within a very short time. They gave valuable aid to a narrow boat newbie and were quick to supply a replacement padlock when one could not be found on board. Led to a very smooth and cathartic four days. Great relaxation which was just what we needed.
