We had a fantastic short break on Tawny Lark. The wider beds were so much more comfy compared to what we had slept on in the past and the boat had a good level of comfort and facilities on board. If I was to complain about anything- we found the back steps down into the boat rather steep and my dogs in particular struggled with these as compared to the steps on other boats. We also could have done with a longer/ wider gangplank on the route we took as the banks were rather rough! Overall though an excellent experiance

The service we received from Gayton Marina with regard to our boat hire from them was very good in all aspects. We had a slight issue with low battery power and they sorted the problem quickly and efficiently. We were very happy with the boat and we had a great day out.

Boat was in good condition and the staff were absolutely lovely. There were a few niggles that prevented a 5, which mattered to us but might not matter to others. The main one was a microwave shelf that has been installed above the cooker, restricting the view and blocking the light. As we cook all nights but the last this was more of an issue to us than it would have been had we been doing the normal pub food.

A very pleasant first time experience on a narrow boat. Reedley marina was excellent, very welcoming and Roy who did the handover and training was very helpful and provided us with good practical advice and local knowledge. The lock keepers where all extremely helpful. All in all an excellent service and good all round experience.

Good week on the K&A overall despite stoppages limiting our voyage and a couple of canal side pubs not serving food. Weather was a bonus. Good narrowboat, though storage not as good as previous experiences.

Brilliant but a couple of errors in what we were given and the handover was much worse than last time. Single sheet given for the double bed in the galley and the cot side was broken so that our boy fell out in the night.

De techniek van de boot was prima en de inrichting ook. Enkele kleinere zaken hebben we doorgegeven als gebrek. Bijvoorbeeld de gebrekkige werking van de thermostaat kranen van de douches, die bijna niet te bedienen waren. De ene afvalwater tank (gebruikt door 2 personen) in 6 dagen vol en de andere niet (ook gebruikt door 2 personen. Nadien hebben we nog 8 dagen gevaren zonder dat opnieuw een tank vol was.

Thank you for your feedback. The Marina Manager at Rugby has confirmed that there is a button which needs to be pressed before the temperature in the shower can be changed. All of our toilet tanks are emptied and flushed through between hires but because the flush can be regulated it is possible that one toilet could fill faster than the other. We would also expect customers to require a pump out after 8 days cruising, the cost for this would then be refunded to you on your return. We are pleased to hear that you were impressed with our Wagtail Class boat and we hope to see you all again soon!

Very helpful staff who advised on which route was the best, plus added helpful stuff on the boat such as dishwasher stuff just takes the worry out of everything.
