We had a great holiday, from booking to taking the boat back. All staff friendly, explained everything fully, and when we did have a problem with the water system, Someone came out from the Marina and fixed it the same afternoon

ABC is a superb company supporting newbies to canal life; tuition great, boat v comfortable, super clean and well stocked with all the kit we needed. Just the right amount of guidance balanced with the freedome to discover boating. A truly blissfully week. Highly recommended for families of 10-15 year olds battling against the tide of the gaming culture. We laughed more together this week than we have in a long time. Do it.

We arrived at the marina slightly early as agreed, but the people that had the boat before us had arrived back very late so unfortunately it wasn't ready, they did try and get us out and on the canal as soon as they could. ( a phone call before hand would have been nice as we could have stopped off in the village for a while) We had our onshore training then some training on the canal itself and although our trainer was good and knew what he was doing we felt, as first timers, we could have done with a little more practice before being let loose, this being said you learn as you go and boaters are generally very helpful. The boat itself was very clean, with a few essentials to get you going, but do make sure you take food with you as the shop doesn't sell any and you can't always guarantee getting to where you think you will. All in all we loved it and and the staff were all very friendly would definitely use ABC again in the future because we will 100% go again...... A little more practise training and a courtesy call to say they were running late would have given five stars.

Thank you for your feedback. It is disappointing to hear that a late arrival on the previous booking delayed your agreed early start. It would have been a good idea for a member of staff to give you a call to warn you but they may have decided that you would already be on your way. Some of our Marina's are located near to shops or supermarkets but we do always recommend that customers bring some provisions with them for the first night or order an online food delivery to the Marina. Relaxing Holiday but canal closures frustrating

It was our first experience on a narrow boat (although we have had several other boating holidays) - and it was a really good one: Lots to do - interesting waterway - although hectic with the locks! Really impressed with the boat itself and its amenities / provisions. The staff at the boatyard were very good and amenable too. My only disappointment was in not having rear seating - having booked a cruiser stern I thought that there would be seating!

We spent a week in August travelling to Llangollen and back and what an amazing experience it was! We all enjoyed working the locks and bridges. One of the highlights was travelling across the Pontycylty Aquaduct. The views on the canal were wonderful. We couldn't fault ABC - they gave us great advice before we booked and were really helpful when we arrived at the boatyard to collect our boat at the beginning of our holiday. Would very much recommend this company.
