Not as relaxing as we had hoped with a busy canal with quite a lot of traffic some difficulties in finding moorings and coping with private boat owners

Thank you for your feedback. Sometimes the waterways do have busier periods, such as school holidays. The team at Whitchurch would have been happy to discuss your route with you and also point out good mooring spots for you. We hope to see you again soon.

A surprise holiday for my wife, ABC booking team helped me in selecting the boat, places to stop for celebrations and of course, keeping it a secret. The team at Gailey marina were very welcoming and Nigel who both gave us our instructions and also received the boat from us at the end of the holiday was absolutely top class. Thanks-you all for helping make a great week, shame the weather was not so accommodating, but we will be back...

The canal is very beautiful and not too busy. The boat was well-equipped.

We were welcomed at the boat yard by a friendly receptionist who pointed us to our boat to take our luggage onboard. Once we were loaded a very friendly gentleman came on board, demonstrated everything and gave us training on all boat features and engine checks etc. He then took us over to the Lock and gave us training on that. Once we set off he came with us through the first two locks and showed us how to moor up. The boat was comfortable, had everything we needed and was clean and presentable. The short break was much enjoyed and we enjoyed the cruising, Mooring up, and just relaxing and fishing with the children. We found a beautiful stretch of water called Tixoll wide, It was lovely.

The boat was well equipped, comfortable and clean but the best thing was the cheerful attitude of all the Anderton staff

We have never been on or rented a canal boat. It was brilliant. If I have criticism and it isn't really. We are tall and big people and bed were a bit on the small side. The wild life was great and teenager enjoyed something they could be active in.

Really a pleasure from start to finish (other than we did not want it to finish). Everyone from booking to the collection of the boat was 1st class. The guys at the marina could not be more helpful and the boat was immaculately turned out, even with swan towels on the beds!

Superb organisation. Lovely people and boat. Cruised through some stunning scenery. Could not have hoped for a better summer holiday. Really lucky with the weather too.
