The boat was comfortable and clean. Equipment in the galley was excellent, good quality. Staff friendly and helpful. We did have six days of sunshine so I may be looking though rose coloured spectacles but I can't imagine a more fascinating and breathtakingly beautiful canal anywhere in the world

friendly helpful people,boat as described couldn't ask for more. Only two of us, +dog, on first canal boat trip so was pleased to manage 15 locks ea way in our 4 days. Boat handles like a pregnant breeze block but I guess they are all like that; coupled with my incompetent driving some "interesting" times were had. It got better and we managed a few locks without even touching the sides, success Loved all the wildfowl.

This is the second canal experience had with ABC , and on both times the staff,condition of the boat,at each marina have been excellent.

i would like to have been given some more instruction re: mooring the boat the suggested route with only the one lock was well advised being only a crew of two with no experience despite some inclement weather the experience was memorable

We enjoyed the weekend on the boat which was well equipped and clean. The arrangements for the holiday were well documented. A laminated route with listed info regarding locks and places to visit etc would be better than having to pay £5 for a tiny map. Setting off with out a map would have been foolish and it was optional! We met a lot of lovely, helpful people on the canal but a few people expressed displeasure towards the company for letting boats out with crews who were constantly coming close to or banging stationary boats.

Thank you for your feedback. Generally our customers order maps and guides when booking their holiday and take time to plan a route based on the amount of cruising hours they would like to do per day and the amount of crew they have. We sell a variety of maps at the Marina for those who haven't already purchased them. We do also encourage our customers to watch the Boaters DVD and read all of the information on our website before arriving at the marina, where their safety handover can take up to 2 hours if they don't any have previous experience. Our Marina staff will not allow customers to leave the Marina if they feel they are not competent but occasionally accidents do happen. It's great to hear that you enjoyed your weekend and we hope you will be back for another break with us again soon!
