We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights on the canal boat however the mattress system kept separating making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. In addition the pillows were extremely old and smelly.

We have been on Baldrik from Whitchurch several times. The boat is always looked after so well and the staff are always brilliant.

Narrowboat was in good order, clean and comfortable. Boat handles really well and all equipment on board worked perfectly. The only thing which detracted from the holiday was scarcity of visitor moorings along the canal, which isn’t the fault of the marina. However, it might be worth mentioning this to people when they head out on their holiday just so they don’t run out of time to find a suitable mooring spot when the canal levels are so low. It would also be worth pointing out when there are high tides on the river and consequences of ignoring the warning in the book. We did read the book, but some people might not.

From the moment we arrived in Goytre we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were extremely helpful and explained clearly how the locks worked and took us through operating the boat. We had never holidayed on a canal boat and the team at Goytre made the whole experience fantastic. We had a fabulous weekend. What a beautiful place. The boat was so comfortable and was easily big enough for family to join us for a big supper. We are about to book another trip with ABC. Totally addicted. Thank you Del and Iain Stokes

The boat fulfilled our expectations, and was reliable ,clean and all the facilities worked well. The staff on arrival and return were exceptionally helpful and diligent. The marina was well organised and smart.

So far 5 engineer callouts for problems with boat. Coolant. Batteries showered (x2) forrard toilet. May call again as coolants level falling. Sinks in bathrooms empty slowly and forrard bathroom door handle broken. A tired boat...

The boat trip eas very enjoyable what let it down was the boat, it was ok, a bit dated table edging loose an overall musty smell and the engine was very noisy compared with passing boats. For the upper range hire cost I exoected an upper range boat.

We were promised that our dog could travel free, but we're charged £31, with a vague notice about calling to get a discount ....!
