It was so good that the canal staff were there to assist through the locks. I felt a lot safer . The staff at the base were so helpful, assisted with trolleys .

Boat well equipped and maintained to high standard. Boatyard staff including admin were courteous and helpful. Handover was straightforward. I would definitely highly recommend ABC to my friends and look forward to booking with you again on a different canal.

We hired the boat for two weeks. We were advised to get a pump out after a week. We was told that If your passing an ABC base pop in there and it won’t cost ABC anything. Unfortunately we wasn’t able to complete the Warwick Ring as a lock was closed near Birmingham so we had to retrace our journey. This meant that we wouldn’t pass any ABC based on our holiday. We did as advised and got a pump out after being on the boat for a week. We had to get it done at a Boat Yard as there was no ABC yards on our journey. We paid £25 for the pump out and got a receipt. On return to Springwood Haven we presented our receipt for the pump out. In the past we got told that if you need a pump out, get a receipt and we will reimburse you on your return. This time I was told ‘We stopped doing that last year’. We was quite disappointed in this as we may have not even needed a pump out on our holiday as it usually lasts us two weeks. Therefor we wasted £25 that we wouldn’t have spent if we wasn’t advised to get a pump out after a week. Quite disappointed that you have stopped this. It doesn’t seem fair on the customer.
