We had a fantastic time and I would recommend both the trip and ABC Boat Hire. We were slightly disappointed with the condition of the boat as the tiller was worn and sloppy, (although at 3 mph that is not a huge problem, just annoying) and the stove needed repair, especially the toaster portion. The burner didn't light in the middle, which of course is where you need it. That said, the trip was great and the people at the Marina were very helpful. The boat was quite clean and at 68 ft long, it handled well. The traffic on the canal was much lighter than we expected, which was great. I had been concerned that we might find long waits at the locks or the tunnels/aqueducts but not so. But then school was still in session. Also, the people you meet on the canal are quite friendly and helpful. I'd give this experience 4 1/2 stars if I knew how.

It is so relaxing and different from any other holiday we have had. The staff at Wrenbury were wonderful and so helpful, a great bunch of people. I would recommend starting your trip from there to anyone. 👍

From arrival to departure we felt that we were treated as the most important customer of the day. All the Staff were Friendly but professional. From a user point of view, I feel it would be helpful if the boats had gauges on consumable tanks ie Diesel, Water & Sewerage

Spotted Eagle was perfect for our 4 day cruise. Immaculately clean and prepared and perfectly equipped. ABC staff had her ready for us and everything was spot on plan from the booking process through orientation and return. I would highly recommend ABC for your next canal holiday.

Although customer service was good the boat was extremely heavy to steer. Have had to have medical treatment on my shoulder and spine since getting home

The boat was ready, well equipped, instructions were explicit. The staff were most friendly, polite, welcoming and helpful. Water-points were easy to handle. Altogether a most enjoyable cruise for the two of us.

Great experience. Only minor problem was the lack of mooring space when we returned which you can’t do much about!we had to triple-moor Grith & Watermark.

Every one we meet from ABC staff to the Canal trust staff was very helpful and friendly due to lock clousure and low water due to the lovely hot weather we had for are 2 week on the boat. Will be booing again for next year we have already started to look at we’re to go
