We were told we couldn't have the double and the single set up in the saloon at the same time so we changed to singles throughout the boat. It turned out there was space for the saloon to be set up as we originally intended but the accommodation in the for and aft cabins was then singles when doubles would have suited us far better.

Thank you for your feedback. On some of our boats it may be possible to have the dinette double and single fold down bed along side each other but we cannot offer this as a layout for health and safety reasons. In case of an emergency there must always be a clear passage through the boat. We hope you enjoyed your holiday and we look forward to seeing you again.

The holiday was good fun. We had to remove weed and plastic bags from the screw several times ( a reflection on non-canal users not the company). The canals were quiet so no queuing at locks which saved time and the visit to the Black Country Living Museum was really good with moorings right next door to the entrance.

Thank you for your feedback. It is necessary to check the weed hatch daily to remove any debris that may have caught on the propeller - at this time of year leaves are the worst offenders! This was the first narrow boat holiday and its was Fantastic! The boat had everything we needed, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience was lovely.

great experience weather good but cold, staff at the wheel were outstanding as me and Linda got engaged as the wheel was half way up, card and drink was very thoughtful and appreciated by us both.

It was actually a one way trip from Anderton to Reedley. Nice to see parts of the system that we wouldn't usually get to see. Lee @ Reedley was very helpfull and also arranged to move our car to Reedley

Boat in good working order and well equipped. Nice and clean. If I'm being picky, it could have done with a sharp kitchen knife and a full set of pan lids that fitted.

Overall we had a great holiday on the Black Lark - the only major irritation was that we could get NO signal on the Tv in the saloon, even though we tried every evening in different locations. We only managed Strictly on Saturday night by watching on the small bedroom TV!!! The aerial is definatetly broken.
