The boat was clean and ready to go upon our arrival. The marina agreed to store some luggage for us during our cruise. A last minute request for a change in sleeping configuration was attended to with no problems and was done so in a friendly manner. The trainer was friendly and answered all our questions enthusiastically. Our only complaint concerns our last night aboard. We arrived back at the marina and asked for a pump out as one of the toilets had indicated it was full with a glowing red light. The marina agreed and said we could also spend the final night aboard the boat while it was inside the marina facility. However, the attendant only pumped out the one holding tank which resulted in a list to one side. This meant that anyone sleeping on the starboard side of the boat was struggling all night to not roll out of the bunk.

We are disappointed to hear that the member of staff who did the pump out for you didn't realise that this would cause the boat to list and your comments have been forwarded to the Marina so if this situation arises again in the future they will now be aware. Staff at base were helpful on handover. Boat was well laid out, clean, comfortable and well equipped.

We do advise customers to purchase a map or guide ahead of their holiday so that they can discuss their route plans with a member of staff during their handover. We do also have a selection of maps and guides available in the marina shop if necessary. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

The boat and its facilities was excellent. Avon Kennet canal is a lovely canal, not too busy, with plenty of pubs and towns to visit.

Although it was a wide boat with lots of space, it could have been designed a bit better inside, and the bolts on the front doors to lock it were cheap rubbish, otherwise the staff and information given for the holiday and everything else about the boat were excellent.

We have used ABC many times but with Diamond the boat we had was quite old but we had a wonderful trip down to THE Llangothlan Canal

It was a very good holiday, boat was excellently kitted out and very clean. Diesel sender failed on 2nd day but engineer promptly sent out and we were only delayed a few hours. Mattress was a problem as we requested double mattress but one of them had a broken zip together so was constantly slipping off the base which made it very uncomfortable to sleep.

The boat was extremely well fitted out and very clean. Every member of staff we met was a delight. They were knowledgeable,helpful and friendly. The canal is a real gem.wonderful countryside and in the first week of October very quiet .Good pubs along the way and friendly locals.

It was raining a lot but was still a fantastic break which I think speaks volumes. Friendly, helpful staff at Hilperton marina & just a great weekend in general. The barge is such good fun..

Thank you for your feedback. We have checked with Alvechurch Marina and your crew were shown on to Red Breasted Goose at 2.04pm, earlier than the stated arrival time of 2:30pm. We do advise in your holiday confirmation that the boat handover can take up to 2 hours after check in and the length of the handover will also vary depending on the experience of the crew.
